Moldova fights on!

After a successful debut in 2005 with “Boonika Bate Doba” and recent success in 2007 with Fight reaching 10th, Moldova is starting a great Eurovision journey. With their entries being full of energy and fun, Moldova has had two very successful years and the future looks great for the country. Their latest entry came from two school students with one goal in mind. To write a song, to make the Eurovision, to reach glory. This is the story of two Moldavian school students, Alexandru and Elena.
Alexandru composed 'Fight' while still at high school in Moldova at the Ciprian Porumbescu High School. The composer is largely unknown and Natalia Barbu (Fight's performer) has been quoted as saying "he (Alexandru) is a promising song writer for sure''. Alexandru was 19 years old at the time of the song's creation and continues to be involved in music after the Eurovision Song Contest's conclusion.
Alexandru Braşoveanu will now write new songs for Natalia Barbu and we have exclusive and confirmed news from Alexandru himself that he has future plans to re-enter the Eurovision Song Contest for Romania in the national final of 2008.

Arsenium -Moldova- New videoclip

from esctoday.com
Arsenium, the former O-zone member and also the Moldovan representative at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens with Natalia Gordienko and Connect-R with the song Loca, has just released his second video clip from his latest album titled The 33rd element.
The song is called Professional heartbreaker and the producer of the video is Dimitri Voloshin who has also worked on the production of Dragostea din tei and Pentru tine, the two songs that were international hit all over Europe when Arsenium was a member of the boy band O-zone.
The filming for the clip took place in a studio in Chisinau and it is 85% digital graphic, that’s why it took much time for the completion of the project. “This song represents me and all of you because contains moments of your life that you have felt or you will feel sometime” declared Arsenium.
"Professional Heartbreaker" is all about what it might happen in love if you are not sincere. If you play with others hearts, if you love more than one at the same time hoping that they are not going to find out ending up with nothing.

The new OGAE International Co-ordinator spoke to esctoday

Antonis Karatzikos, president of OGAE Greece, has been elected as the new International Coordinator of OGAE International. He will serve a two year term as a result of the recent elections held by OGAE presidents on 1st and 15th June.
esctoday.com spoke with the new OGAE IC in Athens to congratulate him on his election. Antonis spoke to esctoday about his plans for the immediate future, about his ambition to help found an OGAE club in every single participating country, about his expectations for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade and his views on the voting system.
"Let's discuss the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade

There are very high expectations for this next Eurovision Song Contest. First of all, it will be held in a very large stadium, so there will be a lot more fans present. It will be the biggest, or second biggest contest in history. If there are 15.000 seats it will be the second largest after Copenhagen, still it is huge. Consequently, the OGAE share of tickets will be larger, so more fans will travel to Belgrade. That means that we need to be much better organised this year. "
