Marija and Bobbysocks head Eurovision Memory Lane

This year's Eurovision Song Contest winner, Marija Serifovic, will be appearing in the third edition of Eurovision Memory lane in Oslo together with many more past winners and participants such as Bobbysocks, Katrina and Mihai Traistariu among others.

For the third year running the Oslo Pride Festival are organising the Eurovision Memory lane show, on June 28, in Oslo.

The event will feature Norway's first Eurovision Song Contest winners, Bobbysocks, 1997 winner Katrina (without the Waves), Mihai Traistariu, Jostein Hasselgård, Wenche Myhre, Kirsten Siggard and many more. Marija Serifovic will be performing this year's winner song Molitva on the outdoor stage at the City Hall Square.
Elisabeth Andreasen and Hanne Krogh will perform both solo and together as Bobbysocks. Elisabeth Andreasens other duet partner, Kikki Danielsson will also sing, both together with Elisabeth and solo, or together with a chorus of 6 dancers.

Mihai Traistariu- the 2006 Romanian entrant will also be there to sing his Tornero. Danish "Queen of Eurovision" Kirsten Siggard, will sing all her Eurovision songs, and Jenny Jensen, Måns Zelmerløw and Andres Esteche from Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix and Swedish Melodifestivalen will perform as well. There will also be some great surprises from the stage.

The event will be hosted by another famous Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest name, the enigmatic Norwegian King of Eurovision, Mr. Jostein Pedersen.

Marija's concert in Thessaloniki in collaboration with the prefecture

The first except Serbia big concert of Marija Serifovic, the winner of Eurovision 2007, will become in September in Thessaloniki in collaboration with the Prefecture.

This was agreed at the current visit of Serbian singer - that it was accompanied by her collaborators - at the prefect Panagiotis Psomiadis.

Mr. Psomiadis and the employees of Prefecture received with claps the Marija when she reached in the prefectoral palace, around in the 1.30 ' midday.

"He is a simple girl, a big voice, with which we will have the joy to collaborate in September in a big concert in Thessaloniki, during the International Report" it stressed in statement his Mr Psomiadis while, as it reported, it is very likely in 2008 to be organised in Belgrade concert with Greek artists.

For her part, Marija thanked the prefect for the reception and the hospitality, and stressed her wish to begin her European tour from Thessaloniki.

Mr. Psomiadis gave Marija a CDd titled "Ελλάδα μου για σένα τραγουδώ "(Greece I sing for you), a red scarf, an album with pictures of old Thessaloniki and semigold ring with a semiprecious stone in form of a scarabee, that was found in the Derveni, is dated between the 325-300 p.H. and it's prototype is looked after in the Archaeological Museum Thessalonica.

ESC Singers Go ABBA

Many Estonian artists are going to perform in Õllesummer, biggest beer festival in the region, at this summer in the Tallinn Song Festival ground.

Beside individual perfomances, lots of artists are going to sing greatest hits of ABBA.

Last week Lenna Kuurmaa (Switzerland 2005) and Tanel Padar (winner 2001) recorded last week Estonian version of 'Waterloo', which is introduction of the big concert, where Estonian artists are singing ABBA songs.

With this concert organisers of Õllesummer wants to celebrate 35th anniversary of ABBA.Besides Lenna Kuurmaa and Tanel Padar also Ines (ESC 2000), Dave Benton (Winner 2001), Ivo Linna (ESC 1996), Marju Länik and Gerli Padar (ESC 2007) will perform.
They will sing ABBA hits in Estonian as well as in English.

Concert takes place on 8th July at 8PM.

Euro HIT 40 -June

Demonstrating once again just how some musical styles no longer have any boundaries, two countries at this year's song contest (the 52nd, as it happens, and held in Helsinki) quite independently chose similar songs with similar titles. Unfortunately, neither song managed to obtain enough popular support to make it through from the semi-final to the final of the competition on Saturday, 12 May.

Scandinavian Latin
The first of these Eurovision songs comes from Norway, and - as the Latin music makes you anticipate - has a Spanish title, although the bulk of the lyric is in English. Ven a bailar conmigo (Come and dance with me) was performed at the contest by Norwegian actress and singer star Guri Schanke. After the viewing public voted, her song came in 18th out of 28, with only the top ten songs going through to the final.

Lusitanian Latin
The second Latin song came from a Latin nation, Portugal, though it too had more of a Spanish feel than anything else. Sung by newcomer Sabrina, Dança comigo (Dance with me) fared better than the song from Norway, coming in 11th and just missing a place in the Eurovision final.

Heard on stations all over the world, the Euro Hit 40 is Europe's No.1 chart show.

Eurovision winner to attend Sarbel's party

Today, Marija is in Greece where she will stay until Wednesday. Following the MODA Fashion Show in Thessaloniki, Marija will travel to Athens to appear on a TV show of ANT1 TV. Later on Tuesday, she will be a guest of honour of OGAE Greece and finally she will join Sarbel, this year's Greek participant, at his gold disc awarding ceremony.

Greece - Eurovision Positive Report

ERT’s report for the Greek participation in the 52nd Eurovision Song Contest held in Helsinki was especially positive. The cost rose to €650,000.

This included amongst others the event for the selection of the Greek song, TV programmes that preceded the event, Sarbel’s promo tour in Europe, the cost of the Greek mission’s stay in Helsinki and the event’s promotion.

Proceeds reached €1,442,000, deriving from:

• Advertising and sponsorships

• SMS messages and telephone calls (Semifinal 10/5 and Final 12/5) in Helsinki

• SMS messages sent and telephone calls made on 28/2 when the Greek song was selected to represent Greece in Helsinki.

Mihai Traistariu - New video and album

Mihai Traistariu, Romanian representative in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest, is about to release the new videoclip for the song Dimmi si o no as well his new album with twelve new songs. It will be the 10th album and the 17th videoclip in his career.

The making of the videoclip has already finished and there are plans that it will be shown in 14 countries. The official launch will be in two weeks along with the new album which will include twelve brand new songs in no less than six different languages: English, Italian, Spanish, Cumbala, Romanian and Chinese. The world premiere will take place during one of Romania's biggest shows Sunday with your family on Antena 1.
One week later, the single along with the videoclip will be published in the following 14 countries, the album will follow another week later:

Mihai has also been chosen to compete in the semi final in one of the biggest music contests in Europe called New wave. He reached the top 100 out of more than 3000 competitors.
