Kalomoira's ‘Secret Combination’ has hit the UK top 40

Kalomoira's "Secret Combination" has hit the UK top 40 chart mid-week at No.33 (peak) download sales.

The slick performance had confirmed Greece's superb result for a competition, which is deeply revered in that part of the Mediterranean - fetching approval ratings of 76% of Greeks who tuned in.

Kalomoira took the lead from the start. She admitted to experiencing all sorts of emotions herself - thinking she was on her way to a win, but gradually witnessed Greece dropping below Russia - after I saw us 'lagging 20 points behind Dima I ruled out the victory!'

Greece netted 218 points in total - with the the full marks coming from Romania, San Marino, Albania and Germany.

The UK 12-pointer to Greece, confirmed the British opinion of her as a cute, charming yet also fiesty, charismatic performer.

The "Secret Combination" had proved a hit with the listener, which has retained the No.1 favourite tune on the LGR TOP 20 Chart for a third consecutive week, on London’s definitive Greek chart run-down.

Kalomoira had thanked the loyally obedient fan for their overwhelming generosity in supporting Greece's initiative. "Thank you so much for being so sweet and for giving out your positive energy!"

Vse Bydet Horosho (Everything Will Be Good)

English Lyrics:
translation Svetlana Loboda

If they will tell us: "your train already left"
Than we will simply answer, we wait for another one
And to avoid being bored on the platform
We will cover a table and shal drink for love

And it will be G-O-O-D
Everything will be good
Everything will be good
I know it, know ...

G-O-O-D
Everything will be good
Oh, I have the feeling girls that i'll go on a spree
Oh, i'll go on a spree

If in the morning your head hurts
We'll tell you directly: "you cant drink"
Its not nice to cure yourself alone
Its better to drink a bit in group

It will be G-O-O-D
Everything will be good
Everything will be good
I know it, know...

G-O-O-D
Everything will be good
Oy, i have a feeling girls that i'll for shore go on a spree untill saturday

Life is such a bingo
I fell in love, but it wasnt all that
I won the jackpot in the game of love
I took a closer look - its idiot

I covered the table for all
There are pepper and brine
We shall go now
To fill our glasses and drink

Euro HIT 40 -June

Demonstrating once again just how some musical styles no longer have any boundaries, two countries at this year's song contest (the 52nd, as it happens, and held in Helsinki) quite independently chose similar songs with similar titles. Unfortunately, neither song managed to obtain enough popular support to make it through from the semi-final to the final of the competition on Saturday, 12 May.

Scandinavian Latin
The first of these Eurovision songs comes from Norway, and - as the Latin music makes you anticipate - has a Spanish title, although the bulk of the lyric is in English. Ven a bailar conmigo (Come and dance with me) was performed at the contest by Norwegian actress and singer star Guri Schanke. After the viewing public voted, her song came in 18th out of 28, with only the top ten songs going through to the final.

Lusitanian Latin
The second Latin song came from a Latin nation, Portugal, though it too had more of a Spanish feel than anything else. Sung by newcomer Sabrina, Dança comigo (Dance with me) fared better than the song from Norway, coming in 11th and just missing a place in the Eurovision final.

Heard on stations all over the world, the Euro Hit 40 is Europe's No.1 chart show.
