Portugal dance styles for EDC revealed

Sónia Araújo alongside Ricardo Silva will be the dancing duo who will represent Portugal at the first edition of Eurovision Dance Contest. The dance styles to be performed on stage will be jive on the first choreography and tango on the freestyle section as Sonja revealed to Luís André Florindo for esctoday.com.

Sónia and Ricardo will intensify the preparations for the contest at the end of the month of July and work throughout August. All aspects of the act will be considered and mostly the technical moves. Sónia considers that her biggest challenge will be following all the rules and trying not to do any faux-pas.

She feels confident and a bit anxious. "It's a great responsibility to represent Portugal at such a big event and even greater if it is the first time. I will do my best to make people proud and to be at the level of the other contests, many of whom are professionals", said Sónia Araújo to ESCtoday.

The musical arrangements will be done by Fernando Martins, an experienced musical producer. The music first dance routine is still being discussed. The music for the tango will by a piece by "tango virtuoso" Astor Piazzolla to which will be added the sound of the portuguese guitar and a percusion instrument called "adufe". This will add the flavour of portuguese fado and folklore to the performance.

Sónia Araújo while hosting the morning show on RTP will also present on the show, in the coming weeks, some dancing routines with a group of dancers she created.

The KMG's heading for a busy week

After the Eurovision Song Contest semifinal in Helsinki, in which they were eliminated with the song Love Power, it became very silent around The KMG's, the Belgian representatives. But that will change soon. In the upcoming seven days, The Krazy Mess Groovers will give three concerts, two in Ghent and one in Nivelles.

On Sunday 15th July, you can find The Krazy Mess Groovers at the music festival Polé Polé at the Korenlei and Graslei in Ghent. The band performs as of 18:30 CET. Also on 18th July, The KMG's perform in Ghent, this time at the popular Gentse Feesten on the big stage near St-Jacobs. Be there at 1 o'clock at night! The KMG's end the busy week on 21st July, the Belgian national holiday, at the Market Square of Nivelles.

Yulia and Lena started filming in Finding Tatu

Yulia Volkova and Lena Katina spent the past weekend on the set shooting Finding Tatu, where the singers play themselves.

During their first day of shooting, the singers did one of the final scenes for the movie. It was done at location of the abandoned Badayevsky brewery. The picture is based on the novel by deputy of the Russian Parliament Alexey Mitrofanov in collaboration with writer Anastasiya Moiseeva - Tatu Come Back.

The leading roles are played by the Hollywood actresses Shantel Van Santen and Mischa Barton. The movie tells the story of two teens – a 17 year old American girl and her Russian friend from a small provincial town. The girls meet in Moscow for one of the Tatu gigs and find themselves involved in a whirlpool of incredible events.

The movie is directed by British director Roland Joffe – an award winner of the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Award nominee and winner for his pictures The Killing Fields (1984) and The Mission (1986). The shooting of Finding Tatu is planned to end by August 14, 2007. Editing and final cut is estimated to take up to six months. Its premiere is scheduled to take place at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival which will be held May 14 to 25, 2008 in Cannes (France).

Festival ZD MK with Tatu on TV

Recording of ZD (Zvukovaya Dorozhka) MK Festival will be aired on channel Rossiya on July 22, at 00.15 (Moscow Time).

This annual festival took place at Luzhiki Sports Complex on June 24, where Tatu sang their old hits and presented a new song Ne Zhaley (Don't Regret).

Anna Vissi's visit in the Netherlands confirmed

Yesterday afternoon rumours where finally ended when it was confirmed that Anna Vissi ('80, '82, '06) will visit Amsterdam to give a concert on the 5th of October at The Max in Amsterdam. Ticket-sales will start on Wednesday the 18th of July.

Tour-dates in Brussels on the 7th of October and Paris on the 8th of October where already confirmed. Another rumour was ended as well: Michalis Hatzigiannis ('98) will not come to the Netherlands on his European Tour.

Evridiki continues her growing come back in the music industry. After the Eurovision participation and the change of record label, the opening act at the Evanescence concert in Athens, the ongoing tour in Greece, the awards in Cyprus, Evridiki is about to release her new CD single.

The title is Kapoion Allon (Someone Else). The song has also concluded its video clip shootings. The lyrics, the music and the video clip are interesting and particular. The music was composed of course by Dimitris Korgialas, the lyrics by Nikos Moraites and Dimitris Georgakopoulos sign the video clip directing.

It is advised to listen and watch the song up to the end of it.
